Alexandra (Alex) Chadwick is a Los Angeles-based screenwriter and filmmaker with a passion for telling dramatic, coming-of-age stories that occasionally fall into the absurd and the surreal. Alex grew up in the suburbs of Matthews, North Carolina, where she discovered her love for storytelling at a young age. Her work transformed from short stories and prose to screenwriting when she attended Elon University for a BFA in Cinema and Television Arts. Alexandra is currently pursuing her MFA in Screenwriting at the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory.

With extensive hands-on experience in production, Alexandra has worked in diverse roles on over 25 narrative short films and music videos, contributing as a writer, director, cinematographer, and script supervisor. Her work has been recognized with awards such as the BEA Award of Excellence and a semifinalist position at the New York International Film Awards.

Professionally, Alexandra has honed her skills as a Production Assistant at C&I Studios, where she contributed to commercial projects as well as feature films and short films.
​
In addition to her film work, Alexandra is an accomplished freelance writer and a recipient of the Bond Fellowship and Love of Learning scholarship. She has a deep appreciation for bold, evocative storytelling, inspired by filmmakers like Xavier Dolan and Andrea Arnold.
