Alexandra Chadwick

Alexandra (Alex) Chadwick is a Los Angeles-based screenwriter and director with a passion for telling dramatic coming-of-age stories told from the perspectives of quiet but strong-willed protagonists. Alex grew up in the suburbs of Matthews, North Carolina, where she discovered her love for storytelling at a young age. Alexandra is currently pursuing her MFA in Screenwriting at the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory.

 

Alexandra's Black List Recommended screenplay DUCK SKIN was awarded the 2026 recipient of The Black List x Writers Guild Initiative Collyer Fellowship, a quarter-finalist position in the Outstanding Screenplays Feature Competition, and recently progressed to the second round of the 2027 Sundance Development Lab. 

 

Alex has a deep appreciation for bold, evocative storytelling, inspired by filmmakers like Andrea Arnold, and Kelly Reichardt, and Lynne Ramsay.

When she is not writing, Alexandra can be found at most cozy LA diners with a book (usually a memoir), or at the Baked Potato jazz bar listening to some spectacular tunes.
