Logline: After an argument with her inattentive boyfriend, a failing ceramic artist creates a person out of clay who comes to life and fulfills her desire to be seen and heard.
Synopsis: Galatea follows Liv, a failing ceramic artist on the night of her birthday. When her boyfriend takes her on an unwanted dinner date and suggests that she should quit ceramics for a more stable job, an argument breaks out. After Ryan storms off and leaves Liv alone at the table, she goes to her at-home studio and creates her own company: a sculpture of a person. To Liv's amazement, the sculpture comes to life the next day as a half-naked human stained with terra cotta who can only communicate through look and touch. Through tender and intimate moments, the Creation fulfills Liv's desire to be seen and heard.
Liv slowly begins to realize that her Creation is not real, and decides that it is time to let them go. She dissolves Creation in a bathtub.
